Dr. Hao XU is currently working with Tencent as its Vice President, Sustainable Social Value (SSV). Hao lead’s Tencent’s Climate Innovation Hub, focusing on areas such as driving Tencent’s carbon neutrality agenda, exploring digital enabled emission reduction solutions, supporting low carbon technologies and promoting sustainable lifestyle among consumers. Prior to Tencent. Hao is Partner, Co-Head of Sustainable Development Business for Greater China Region at McKinsey & Co, leading its sustainability practice in Greater China, Southeast Asia and India. He also worked with public institutions such as the World Economic Forum and UK government. Hao obtained his undergraduate degree from School of the Environment, Nanjing University, and also holds an MSc in Environmental Engineering from University of Nottingham, and a PhD in Civil Engineering from University of Sheffield.
