Beyond Transition: Building Secure, Resilient, Inclusive, and Intelligent Energy Systems
8-11 June 2026 | ADB Headquarters, Manila
An overview of four days of knowledge exchange, collaboration, and practical solutions for Asia and the Pacific's energy future.
Monday is your chance to settle in, connect, and get a head start before the Forum officially begins. The day opens with early registration and open networking, giving participants the opportunity to meet fellow attendees from across the region and beyond. Throughout the day, Pre-Forum Events and ADB on the Ground offer an opportunity to experience firsthand what ADB and its developing member countries (DMCs) are doing on clean energy, with interactive exhibits, site experiences, and conversations with ADB teams working across Asia and the Pacific.
The Forum officially kicks off on Tuesday morning with the Opening Plenary, featuring keynote addresses and high-level panel discussions that set the tone for the week. After lunch, the energy shifts into the Thematic Tracks, four parallel streams running simultaneously throughout the afternoon, covering Building Security (Track 1), Enhancing Resilience (Track 2), Forging Inclusion (Track 3), and Intelligent Energy Systems (Track 4). Each track opens with its first session in the early afternoon and continues into the late afternoon slot. The day wraps up with the ADB Welcome Reception, an evening of informal networking to close a memorable first day.
Wednesday is the most intensive day of the Forum. The Thematic Tracks continue with their third and fourth sessions, diving deeper into the issues raised on Tuesday. Running alongside the tracks are Deep Dive Workshops, offering focused technical discussions and collaborative problem-solving on specific energy issues. Spotlight Sessions on nuclear technology and other emerging topics are woven throughout the day, providing dedicated space for specialised agendas. The day closes with Sector and Thematic Sessions, grounding the week's discussions in practical, sector-level perspectives.
Thursday brings the Forum to a close with Sector and Thematic Sessions in the morning, covering four regional groupings: Southeast Asia and the Pacific, South Asia, Central West and East Asia, and Energy Transition Mechanism and Partnerships, as well as a session on Emerging Areas. These sessions ground the week's discussions in regional realities and actionable next steps. The Forum then closes with the Closing Plenary in the afternoon, bringing all participants together for key reflections, takeaways, and a look ahead at the energy transition journey for Asia and the Pacific.
