Background
Faced with more prominent consequences of climate change, extreme climate events, the Asian Development Bank (ADB) has been working with the Southeast Asia countries to promote and implement innovative approaches for integrated solutions to transition to lower carbon and sustainable energy future for each country and for the region.
The event will be a platform for dialogues among the utility managers, energy regulators, renewable energy investors, practitioners on energy transition with focus of climate change mitigation, renewable energy development, energy efficiency and application of energy transition mechanism to phase-out coal-fired power generating capacities and unlock investment in clean energy.
Objectives
To showcase the importance of creating an enabling environment for private and public sector investment into energy transition pathway to meet the carbon-neutrality future in Southeast Asia.
