Alain Dardy is Representative Director and COO of Energy Pool Japan, a Savoy-based SME and leader in its field in Japan in partnership with TEPCO. Energy Pool combines knowledge of industrial processes, Cloud solutions, IoT and algorithms for managing batteries or hydrogen electrolysis in order to enable large consumers, in the short term, to contribute to balancing the electricity grid, and, in the long term, to integrate more renewables at competitive cost. Alain previously held a number of positions at EDF (Electricité de France) and then AREVA (now ORANO/Framatome), ranging from electricity distribution in Moulins-sur-Allier to promoting Franco-Japanese reactors in South-East Asia, or managing the liberalization of the energy market in Slovakia. In between his stints at EDF and AREVA, he got his MBA from INSEAD in Singapore.
