Mr. Jeffries oversees ADB’s Energy Transition Mechanism and related activities region-wide. He was ADB’s Country Director for Viet Nam from 2020 to April 2023 and the Director of the Southeast Asia Energy Division from 2016 to 2020. He headed ADB’s energy sector operations in India from 2013 to 2016. Prior ADB, Mr. Jeffries was a Sr. Vice President of Fortis Capital’s Global Energy & Utilities Group in New York, providing energy sector project finance and tax equity investments for renewable energy projects. He joined Fortis from GE Capital’s Structured Finance Group, where he led the investment underwriting of equity investments and financings in the U.S. and internationally. Prior to GE, Mr. Jeffries worked at Caithness Energy, a project developer of geothermal power in the U.S. and Asia, as well as gas-fired, wind and solar IPPs.
