Chris Fruean is the Chief Engineer and Manager of the Quality Assurance and Development Division at the Electric Power Corporation (EPC) of Samoa, where he has served for over nine years. He leads EPC’s energy transition efforts, overseeing renewable energy integration, battery storage projects, and engineering quality standards across the corporation. Chris has played a central role in crisis response planning, project procurement, and policy development, and is a key architect of the EPC Energy Transition Master Plan 2024–2034, guiding Samoa’s shift toward a more resilient and sustainable power sector.
