Dan Millison has 35+ years professional experience including 20+ years working on clean energy, sustainable infrastructure, and climate change financing. Dan’s first job in the energy business was working as a deck hand on a towboat transporting Appalachian coal from New Orleans, Louisiana to power plants in Pensacola and Panama City, Florida. His second job in the energy business was working as roughneck on a drilling rig in the Sprayberry Field outside of Midland, Texas. His previous life in the petroleum industry ended when crude oil prices bottomed out at $6 per barrel in 1986. Since then, he has helped clients secure more than $1 Billion in climate change co-financing for a broad spectrum of clean energy and sustainable transport investments totaling more than $5 Billion.He has assisted Asian Development Bank (ADB) in mobilizing financing for multiple grid expansion and upgrade projects totaling more than $1 Billion, including new lines in Bangladesh and Nepal which are equipped with ACCC conductors. He is currently supporting ADB’s technical assistance program for innovative technology and business models in energy sector operations. He is the founder of Delta C, LLC, a science and technical services firm specializing in feasibility assessments and field services for deployment of advanced conductors for high-voltage transmission lines. He is also the founder of Planet Sea, LLC, a consultancy specializing in identifying and implementing regenerative solutions for the new ocean economy (NOE).Dan has a M.S. in Civil Engineering / Mineral Resource Engineering and Management (1986) and a B.A. in Geological Sciences (1981), both from Northwestern University.
