Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary

Farhad Taghizadeh-Hesary is a Professor of Economics and Finance at Tokai University in Tokyo, Chief Economist of Climate Finance Asia, and Vice President and Co-founder of the International Society for Energy Transition Studies. He has advised governments, financial institutions, and international organizations across Asia on sustainable finance, energy transition, and climate policy. He is internationally recognized for his contributions to green finance and renewable energy financing, including receiving the 2023 Japanese Government Ministerial Science and Technology Award and Commendation and being named a Clarivate Highly Cited Researcher. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Keio University.
