Grace Yeneza is a pioneering advocate and practitioner of clean energy development. She has over 30 years of experience in policy and strategic planning, program/project development and execution, and capacity building in the energy sector. Her concrete, on-the-ground involvement in all types of renewable energy gives her a solid grasp of the success factors and pitfalls of renewable and clean energy project development. She maintains a wide network among government and private energy stakeholders which is valuable to any project/program implementation in the Philippines. Ms. Yeneza founded and manages Preferred Energy, Inc., an NGO promoting clean, efficient, and sustainable energy solutions. Her professional experiences include serving as Corporate Planning Director of the National Electrification Administration and policy/program advisor to the Philippine Department of Energy and Congressional Committee on Energy; working with bilateral and multilateral development institutions, i.e., USAID, UNDP, ADB, WB, IFC, JICA and GIZ, among others, and supporting private companies and electric cooperatives in implementing renewable and clean energy projects. Currently, she is a consultant for ADB’s Sectors Group, Energy Sector Office.
