Mr. Boileau is an experienced Canadian diplomat that has dedicated his career to supporting Canadian business participate in global markets, including through three international postings at Canadian Embassies in Indonesia, Mexico and the Philippines, negotiating free trade agreements, and supporting Canadian firms in their international business development endeavors. He currently holds the position of Counsellor and Senior Trade Commissioner at the Canadian Embassy to the Philippines. He leads a dynamic team of dedicated Trade Commissioners focused on strengthening bilateral commercial ties through international business development opportunities in key priority sectors for Canada, including clean-technologies and climate finance, infrastructure, mining, ICT, aerospace, agri-food, education, as well as with the Asian Development Bank. Prior to arriving to the Philippines in September 2021, Mr. Boileau was Senior Advisor to the Deputy Minister of International Trade covering trade policy negotiations and dispute settlements, as well as Canada’s trade and investment interests in Asia.
