Jayeon Lee
Deputy Director,
Korea Energy Agency
Ms. Jayeon Lee is a Deputy Director in the International Cooperation Division at the Korea Energy Agency (KEA). She has over 19 years of professional experience, including 12 years in international energy cooperation. She manages Official Development Assistance (ODA) programs for the clean energy transition across Asia and beyond.
Her work involves securing ODA budgets and managing the project lifecycle from identification to Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E). She handles bilateral projects in Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan and Peru, as well as multilateral collaborations with the Asian Development Bank (ADB), UNIDO, and the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). She coordinates cooperation between partner government agencies and private industry.
She contributed to the planning of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) project, “Supporting Innovative Mechanisms for Industrial Energy Efficiency Financing in Indonesia with Lessons for Replication in Other ASEAN Member States,” in collaboration with the Korea Development Bank (KDB) and ACE.
She organized KEA’s Deep Dive Workshops at the Asia Clean Energy Forum (ACEF) in 2024 and 2025, and served as the lead organizer for the "KEA - ADB High-Level Clean Energy Dialogue" during the 2025 World Climate Industry Expo (WCE).
Prior to KEA, she spent seven years in the shipbuilding industry managing international contracts, market research and analysis, international exhibitions and project finance.
Ms. Lee holds a Master’s degree in International Development Cooperation from Kyung Hee University, Korea.
