Mansour Assaf

Mansour H. Assaf has served as a Professor at the University of the South Pacific (USP) since 2010 and has supported, researched, taught, and built capacity across the Pacific for Professionals in Electrical/Electronic Engineering. Dr Assaf holds a PhD (Electrical/Computer Engineering) from the University of Ottawa in Canada, where he also completed both his MSc and BSc degrees. His expertise covers a wide range of areas, including Computer Systems, Embedded/Mixed Signal Design, and Intelligent Sensing Technologies. In recent years, Dr Assaf has primarily focused on developing Sustainable Engineering Solutions such as: Renewable Energy Systems, Smart Sensing for Environmental Monitoring, and Technology-Driven Solutions to assist Island Communities in their Engagement with Climate Change. Dr Assaf has taken part in many projects involving Solar Energy, Energy Efficiency and Drone-Based Environmental Monitoring.
