Mario Bernardo is the CEO of EDF Power Solutions Laos. He holds degrees in Mechanical Engineering and an Executive MBA. Mario started his career in 1996 at Cogetherm and later worked at SIIF Energies (EDF Renewables). Joining EDF in 2010, he led various energy projects across continents, focusing on onshore wind, gas, and hydropower, and held regional roles in Africa and Eastern Europe since 2015. Appointed Business Development Director for Asia-Pacific in July 2022, he enhanced the project portfolio and opened new offices in Australia and Japan. As CEO, he manages the company overseeing the MOFAI PSH project utilizing the reservoir of Nam Thuan 2 Hydro Power Plant and serves on the board of directors of NT2 Power Company.
