Sung Yoon

Sung Yoon is the CEO and Founder of ENVELOPS CO., LTD, a Korean clean energy company specializing in AI-driven agrivoltaic systems for the Asia-Pacific region. He holds a BS in Environmental Engineering from Virginia Tech and an MS in Energy Technology Management from SUNY Stony Brook. With over a decade of experience in agrivoltaic development, he is the lead developer of the GCF-KOICA Fiji Ovalau 4MWp Agrivoltaic Project (SAP016, $14.6M), the first utility-scale agrivoltaic deployment in the Pacific Islands. He also developed SAMS (Smart Agrivoltaic Management System), an AI-controlled variable-tilt panel system for climate-smart agriculture. His work spans the Water-Energy-Food Nexus, community-owned cooperative models based on agrivoltaic for climate-resileince, yet, sustainable agriculture. His peer-reviewed research on tropical agrivoltaics has been published in Agronomy. Prior to founding ENVELOPS, he served at NIGT and KISTEP.
