Theo C. Sunico is Co-founder and Director for Regulatory and Markets of the Triconti ECC Renewables Corporation. This Filipino-led company has been advancing wind energy development in the Philippines since 2011 and with our Swiss-German-Liechtenstein partners, pioneered offshore wind exploration in the Philippines in 2020. Joining the Philippine power sector in 2000, he has built deep expertise in energy marketing, trading, regulatory affairs, and capacity sourcing through senior roles in both conventional and renewable energy companies, including Southern Energy Philippines, Mirant, Team Energy, and Vivant Corporation. Before focusing fully on wind energy development at Triconti, he served as President and board member of the Philippine Hydro Association and represented the generation sector on the Rules Change Committee of the Philippine Electricity Market Corporation. He continues to play a leading role in shaping the country’s renewable energy future as Vice-President for Offshore Wind of the Wind Developers Association of the Philippines.
