Veronika is a Senior Consultant working at Ecorys, a leading research consulting company operating across the work. My work particularly focuses on Just Energy Transition projects for EU and international clients. I coordinated activities within the Secretariat of the Initiative for coal regions in transition in the EU and in the Western Balkans and Ukraine as well as the ETP/World Bank-led Just Coal Transition Platform Southeast Asia. Within these initiatives, I have been involved in various technical assistance assignments and coordinated stakeholder engagement activities at different scales (i.e. large-scale conferences, working groups and individual consultations). She has also done research on policies in the area of just/fair transition, such as through the recently completed Mapping of Just Transition Policies in Southeast Asia (for Tara Climate Foundation), the study on just transition in the construction sector (for Laudes Foundation) and the Study on cohesion policy in coal regions (for the European Parliament). She holds a BA from the Technical University of Vienna and two Master’s degrees in European Spatial Planning and Environmental Policy from Radboud University (the Netherlands) and Cardiff University (United Kingdom).
