Dr. Weerawat Chantanakome holds a PhD in Energy Policy and Planning from the University of Waterloo and has over 30 years of experience in energy sector planning, policy, and management across ASEAN and Asia. In Thailand, he has served in key advisory and leadership roles, including with the Thai Parliament Senate Working Group Committee on Science, Technology and Energy, Advisor to the Ministry of Energy, the Thai Environment Institute, and the Federation of Thai Industries. Regionally, Dr. Chantanakome is a recognized senior energy policy leader, having served as Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy in Jakarta, Senior Team Leader at APERC in Tokyo, and CEO of the Brunei National Energy Research Institute. He currently serves as Senior Counsel on Energy Policy at ERIA in Jakarta.
