Dr. Yabei Zhang manages the Clean Cooking Fund at the Energy Sector Management Assistance Program (ESMAP) of the World Bank. Yabei has led various energy projects in the East Asia and Pacific, Europe and the Central Asia, and Africa regions, with focus on energy access, energy efficiency, renewable energy, and climate change. Prior to joining the World Bank, Yabei worked at the Joint Global Change Research Institute on renewable energy and climate change modeling. She holds a PhD in Economics from University of Maryland, College Park and a Master in City Planning from MIT.
