Dr. WANG Yan is the CEO and Co-founder of Quantified Energy, an AI-driven deep-tech software company in the Vertex Ventures portfolio, specializing in the solar photovoltaic (PV) industry. With over 20 years of experience in the solar PV sector, his career spans R&D of advanced solar technologies, mass production of solar panels, and business development for utility-scale solar farms. Before founding Quantified Energy in 2021, Dr. Wang served as a Senior Research Fellow and Director of the PV Module Cluster at the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS), part of the National University of Singapore (NUS). As a pioneer in digital innovation for solar PV, he focuses on applying the companies’ patented Autonomous Drone Electroluminescence (EL) Mapping technology for holistic lifecycle asset management of solar PV power plants worldwide.
