Yves Barthélemy is a digital technology specialist with a focus on Earth Observation (EO) within the Asian Development Bank’s Digital Sector, where he serves as the European Space Agency focal point to ADB, based at ADB Headquarters in Manila. In this role, he supports the integration of EO and geospatial technologies to advance digital transformation efforts across Asia and the Pacific. Yves has over 20 years of experience in applying EO for international development, having worked with the United Nations, the World Bank, and several international NGOs, as well as in the space industry. His expertise spans a range of applications from disaster management, natural resource management, health to urban resilience, using satellite data and spatial analytics to address complex development challenges.
