Women are making significant strides in the energy sector, driving innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity. Women are increasingly taking on leadership roles in the energy sector, bringing fresh perspectives and innovative solutions. Women are actively involved in shaping energy policies and advocating for sustainable practices. women leaders are at the forefront of the renewable energy transition. They are driving the development and implementation of renewable technologies, such as solar and wind power, and are pivotal in efforts to combat climate change. Women are playing a vital role in community-based energy projects, particularly in rural and underserved areas. These projects often focus on providing access to clean energy, improving livelihoods, and enhancing economic opportunities for women.

Women entrepreneurs are making their mark in the energy sector by starting businesses that focus on sustainable energy solutions. These ventures not only contribute to the green economy but also create job opportunities and foster economic growth. Despite these achievements, challenges remain, such as gender biases and underrepresentation in technical and leadership roles. However, the continued efforts of women in the energy sector are paving the way for a more inclusive and sustainable future.

This session will be organized into two sections, a high-level dialogue with senior women experts in energy sector followed by panel discussion in which examples of how women are shaping energy sector across Asia and the Pacific will be shared. High-level speakers and panelists will share examples of their work.
