Scaling up Clean Energy: Early Actions to facilitate integration of Variable Renewable Energy into existing power systems

The objectives of the workshop are:
1. To make participants aware of the commonly underestimated potential for integrating VRE into existing power systems,
2. To inform participants about possible early actions to initiate the process of allowing their respective power sectors to accommodate more VRE sources, and
3. To facilitate the dissemination of lessons learned from the US and Germany, as well as selected Asian countries on challenges, solutions, and early actions with regards to integration of VRE sources.
