Monica Raphita Simarmata is an Energy Sector Associate at Tetra Tech managing USAID’s Scaling Up Renewable Energy (SURE) work stream to promote a circular economy for clean energy. Monica has over five years of professional experience in energy sector reform, infrastructure planning, and emission reduction initiatives. Monica holds a Master of Environmental Management with a concentration in Energy and Environment from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Bandung Institute of Technology, Indonesia.

Monika Merdekawati is a research analyst of ACE's sustainable and renewable energy department with over 8 years of experience in renewable energy. She is responsible for the engagement with government officials, dialogue partners, and international organisations for any renewable energy-related initiatives to align with the regional energy cooperation blueprint, known as APAEC. She has published various studies, commentaries, and academic paper covering renewable energy policies, financing issues, just energy transition, coal phase-out, innovative solar PV applications, bioenergy, offshore wind, and renewable energy certificate. Prior to ACE, she was a developer of wind and solar farms in Indonesia, involved in the development of Sidrap Wind Farm. She holds a MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Southampton, United Kingdom.

Morgan joined Enerdata in 2011 and heads the Innovation team since 2022. He leads a team of qualified statisticians and economists specializing in power sector, energy markets and energy transition risk for financial and corporate institutions. The team leverages in-house databases and modelling tools to offer new solutions to address transition risk and implement decarbonization strategies. Morgan has been involved in numerous advisory and modelling projects related to supply and demand forecasts in global energy and climate markets, energy price studies and sectoral decarbonization pathways. Recent research studies include impact of COVID19 on energy consumption; gas crisis in Europe. Prior to that he has been working as an analyst in the Low Carbon Product team within EDF Energy in London. He graduated in 2009 as an engineer from the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and completed a Master of environmental technology at the Imperial College.

"Mr. Moroo Shino is the President & CEO of Marubeni Asian Power Singapore Pte Ltd. He has been with Marubeni Corporation since 1991, advancing through various leadership roles. His international experiences in the Philippines and Singapore have enriched his expertise in global, especially particularly Asian, market dynamics. Mr. Shino has been spearheading Marubeni's power business in Asia, notably by leading investments in renewable energy businesses in the APAC region, such as solar projects in Taiwan, Vietnam and Thailand, a geothermal project in Indonesia and a hydro project in the Philippines. Mr. Shino received his degree in Political Science from Waseda University."

Ms. Motoko Ogawa is Deputy Director of Environmental Economy Office, Industrial Science and Technology Policy and Environmental Bureau, Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan

Motoko Ogawa dedicated years of experiences to energy, market and finance in regulatory sphere. Currently she is engaged in policy making of environmental finance in METI. In particular she is in charge of green finance and climate related disclosure issues including international relationship.

"Moumita is an energy professional with more than nine years of diverse experience in energy efficiency, appliance efficiency policies, renewable energy and climate-change related projects in India. In CLASP, she provides technical assistance to Bureau of Energy Efficiency under S&L program for developing and updating the appliance efficiency policies and supports BEE and States for S&L Compliance activity .Prior joining to CLASP, she worked with Energy Efficiency Services Ltd., Ministry of Power, on the execution and monitoring of GEF Project for Creating & Sustaining Markets for Energy Efficiency. She holds Masters in Renewable Energy from TERI University and B. Tech in Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from WBUT. She is an ISO (ISO 50001, 14001 & 9001) Certified Auditor for Energy Management System, Environment Management System & Quality Management System."

Dr. Mridula Dixit Bharadwaj is a Capacity Building Specialist at the International Solar Alliance under the ISA-ADB Technical Assistance Program. She is currently coordinating ISA Programs related to Green Hydrogen, Solar Electric Mobility, and Storage. Dr. Bharadwaj holds a Post Doctorate in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, and a doctorate in rechargeable battery systems from Bangalore University. She has more than 28 years of research experience in batteries, EV, and materials science domains. Some of the academic recognitions include the Best Research Paper Award in the Material Science Category by the Microscopy Society of America. Prior to ISA, she worked with the United States Steel Corporation, General Motors (R&D), and a technology-policy think tank as lead researcher and Section Head. She has participated in several government committees on EV and storage including the National Rare Earth Expert Committee of NITI Aayog, India.

Petra has more than 20 years of experience in managing international technical cooperation programmes and networks for inclusive and sustainable industrial development. She has vast experience in resource efficiency, sustainable energy, eco-industrial parks and performance-based circular economy business models. She has worked with governments, private sector, NGOs and academia in more than 40 countries in Asia, Africa, Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe.

In her current position at UNIDO, she promotes the uptake of frontier energy technologies in developing and transition countries. She develops new business and cooperation models to impulse the transfer of low-carbon technologies for productive use and poverty alleviation. Recently, she designed and initiated UNIDO’s Global Partnership for Green Hydrogen Application in Industry.

She studied economics at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration and environmental management at the University of London.

Dr. Muaviyath Mohamed currently serves as the State Minister for Climate Change, Environment, and Energy. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, specializing in "Energy Constraint and Adaptability" with a particular focus on renewable energy applications tailored for small islands. Dr. Mohamed has authored several articles in this field, including "Energy Constraint and Adaptability: Focus on Renewable Energy on Small Islands" published by NERI (National Energy Research Institute), New Zealand, and "Solar and Wind Energy for Small Island Electrification: A Maldivian Case Study" published by UKERC (UK Energy Research Centre). He has also contributed to research on "Voluntary Demand Participation (VDP) for Security of Essential Energy Activities in Remote Communities with Case Study in Maldives" published in Energy for Sustainable Development by the International Energy Initiative. In addition to his Ph.D., Dr. Mohamed holds a Master's degree in Marine Technology from The Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), and a BSc. Honours from the Islamic University of Technology (Dhaka, Bangladesh). He also completed his MBA in 2021. With a wealth of experience in the education sector spanning over 20 years, Dr. Mohamed previously held the position of Deputy Vice Chancellor at The Maldives National University (MNU) from 2015 to 2019. In this role, he efficiently managed key departments such as Administration, Finance, Human Resources, and Project Planning/Development. Prior to his tenure as Deputy Vice Chancellor, he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Technology at MNU.

Mr Mukesh Sharma is a Deputy General Manager with Indian Oil Corporation in India. Currently, he is handling refinery configuration studies for capacity expansion, developing new process / technologies, conducting Feasibility studies and working on technologies that can generate fuel / energy from waste with objecting of Reducing Carbon footprints in Energy Sector. Mr Sharma started his career as a Process Engineer in Panipat refinery about 21 years ago and then mover up the hierarchy of IOCL.

Mr Sharma is holds B Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT BHU and has a post-graduate degree in management. He is also a certified energy auditor from Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, Government of India. Mr Sharma is actively involved and interested in energy transition initiatives and has been working in new technologies including Hydrogen, CCUS, Biofuels and waste to renewable energy.

Dr. Mukhtor Khamudkhanov is a Director of Energy Division of ADB’s Pacific Department and is responsible for coordination of ADB’s energy sector operations in the Pacific developing member countries. Prior to joining the Pacific Department in January 2021, he was a Country Director of ADB’s Nepal Resident Mission where he was involved in policy dialogue, strategic and country operations planning, and worked on significant infrastructure projects. He served as Principal and Senior Energy Specialist in South Asia Energy Division, Senior Planning and Policy Specialist (Strategy and Policy Department), and Portfolio Management Specialist. He is an experienced professional with extensive knowledge in energy policy, power systems, renewable energy, and energy efficiency. Dr. Khamudkhanov has 30 years of professional experience, including 20 years in ADB. He prepared and administered several investment (hydropower, wind and solar; transmission and distribution) and technical assistance projects, and has working experience in ADB, World Bank, UNDP.
