Ellen Bomasang is a global development professional whose focus has been clean energy, climate, and inclusive growth across Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East for 25+ years. She has led global teams in the delivery of professional services and is a recognized thought leader in renewable energy and gender equality and social inclusion (GESI). She has led GESI interventions around the themes of women’s and girls’ leadership, male allyship, women’s economic empowerment, gender-based violence prevention and response in energy projects and building diverse and respectful workplaces. At Abt Associates, she helps center equity principles and practices within Abt's operations and across its international and domestic portfolios. She provides GESI advisory support to the ongoing USAID Mongolia Energy Governance Activity and USAID Power Africa Health Electrification and Telecommunication Alliance. Prior to joining Abt, she served as GESI Advisor on multiple USAID energy programs in Africa and Asia.

His strong commitment to innovation and sustainability sets him apart as a leader in the realm of cleantech solutions. Elmar is also Presidential Youth Award holder in Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan

Emanuele Bianco is a Programme Officer at the IRENA. He is the lead author of IRENA’s Green Hydrogen Policy Guides, which present in an organic way the main policies to support the green hydrogen transition from niche to mainstream. Emanuele’s contribution also includes analyses of the renewable energy market in Southeast Europe, auction design, heating and cooling policies and power market structures. He has a combined 13 years of experience in renewable energy policy analysis, also gained in the IEA and the Italian state-owned agency GSE. He has received an M.Eng. in Nuclear and Energy Engineering from the Polytechnic School of Turin.

Eric Francia is the president and chief executive officer of ACEN Corporation. Under his leadership, Ayala established its energy platform from a standing start in 2011 to become one of the largest renewable energy platforms in the region, with ~4,200 MW of attributable renewables capacity and 18,000 MW of renewables pipeline across Asia Pacific. Eric is also a senior managing director and member of the Management Committee and Investment Committee of Ayala Corporation. Eric earned a master’s degree in Management Studies at the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom, graduating with first class honors. He received his undergraduate degree in Humanities and Political Economy from the University of Asia & the Pacific, graduating magna cum laude.

Erin is responsible for engaging with customers in APAC region on sustainability topics focused on net-zero targets, including the development and execution of the comprehensive Scope 1, 2 and 3 GHG inventories in line with client climate goals. She is also a local subject matter expert, providing market and regulatory intelligence in the China market for multinational conglomerates. Before joining Enel X, Erin has more than 10 years of international industry experience with various roles as energy consultant, corporate sustainability personnel, and think tank program manager in China, Canada, and the US.

"Euna Shim is a Senior PPP Specialist at ADB, working on various transaction advisory services mandates for infrastructure projects in developing member countries since her joining in OPPP in 2016. Her country and sector exposures are widespread across Southeast Asia, Pacific and Central Asia and include sectors such as renewable energy (e.g., solar, hydro), telecommunication, digital ID, water/wastewater and waste management. She has extensive experience of consulting DMC clients, designing/structuring of PPP transactions and reviewing/negotiating the PPP contracts. Euna has more than 17 years of experience in financial services industry having work in both public and private entities. Prior to joining ADB, Euna worked at the Korea Development Bank’s Project Finance Department covering overseas infrastructure projects at its Seoul Office and Citigroup Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) and Societe Generale CIB in New York and London as part of the Commodity Investor Products Structuring desks. She also worked at the World Bank in Washington D.C. as a research consultant during her Master’s degree program. Euna holds a Master’s degree from the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University majoring in Development Economics, and a Bachelor’s Degree from Sogang University majoring in Political Science."

Eva Kelly Oberender is an expert in renewable energy financing and climate change policy with a deep understanding and proven industry experience within the clean energy sector. In her over 15 years with REEEP, she has taken on a variety of leading strategic roles and been integral in driving forward REEEP’s mission to advance market readiness for clean energy services in low- and middle-income countries. She is currently on the management team of the Private Financing Advisory Network and since early 2022 has headed the organisation as REEEP’s CEO. Before joining REEEP, Eva worked for the Clean Energy Council and for the Federal Department of Environment of Australia on energy efficiency regulation. Having worked in the private, non-governmental and the government sectors, Eva has a wealth of knowledge about the various needs and agendas of each of these sectors. She holds degrees in economics, linguistics and environmental policy, and speak several languages including English, German and Czech fluently.

Farah has been working in the field of sustainable agriculture development for the past 20 years, covering a range of programs related to implementing, water management, natural/regenerative agriculture, climate adaptation and resilience practices, NRM and forest management with rural communities in Asia. Her previous experiences in India and abroad has been with working closely with government ministers in countries (India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Vietnam, China, Central Asia and Pakistan) in providing advisory services on program development and monitoring assessments Her specialization are mainly in: knowledge management, impact evaluations, strengthening M&E framework, capacity building, communications, outreach and policy advocacy.

Faran Rana is an Associate Programme Officer at the International Renewable Energy Agency’s (IRENA) Knowledge, Policy, and Finance Center, where he analyses energy transition-related investments, focusing particularly on renewables, including in the off-grid sector. Through evidence-based analysis, he supports IRENA’s work in developing actionable policy insights and fostering best practices in financing energy transitions across different contexts. Prior, Faran worked extensively for the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP) on implementing capacity-building projects to strengthen renewable energy policy frameworks in Fiji, Tonga, Pakistan, Thailand, and Kazakhstan and across the broader Asia-Pacific region. Faran holds a Master’s degree in Economics which he has leveraged to analyse the socio-economic and health impacts of energy policies and interventions.

Since 2018, he has been responsible for the Air Quality Improvement in the Greater Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei Region—Henan Rural Cleaner Energy Development Program and has led the construction of coal to gas conversion for over 1.2 million rural users in Henan. He has considerable experience in rural energy reform and innovation.

Engr. Ferdinand B. Binondo is currently the Chief of Solar and Wind Energy Management Division of the Department of Energy. He has expertise in policy formulation and program implementation related to electric power industry, electricity market and renewable energy. He earned his master’s degree in Master of Business Administration – Top Executive Program from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila, completed the academic requirements for Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Technological University of the Philippines and attained his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Saint Louis. He was also conferred by the Civil Service Commission with the Certificate in Leadership and Management.

Mr. Francesco La Camera is the Director-General of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). He was appointed at the Ninth Assembly of IRENA, the ultimate decision-making body of the Agency. Mr. La Camera took office on 4 April 2019 and brings more than thirty years of experience in the fields of climate, sustainability, and international cooperation. In his role, Mr. La Camera is responsible for leading the delivery of IRENA’s work program and strategy in cooperation with the Agency’s member states. At a critical time for climate change and the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals, Mr. La Camera is tasked with redefining the structure and operations of the Agency in response to the urgent needs of its 168 Members and 16 Members in the Accession Process. Previously, Mr. La Camera served as Director-General of Sustainable Development, Environmental Damage, EU and International Affairs at the Italian Ministry of Environment, Land & Sea since 2014. In this capacity, he developed cooperation and partnership agreements with a wide range of countries, particularly developing countries including Small Island Developing States (SIDS).
