Nitin Jain
(Programme Head, Officer Responsible for Commission, GIZ IGEN EE Industry Programme)

Nitin is working as Programme Head for the Indo German Energy Programme of GIZ GmbH, India Office and is responsible for Commission & Implementation of the EE Industry Project. The current phase of the project supports Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power for various EE Initiatives and Schemes. The main focus is on Non PAT Industries, Rules & Regulations & Capacity Development for various Programmes. He has around 20 years of Professional Experience in the field of Project Management, Budget Monitoring including Finance, Program Implementation, Co-financing etc. He is also a Green Finance Specialist awarded by Renewables Academy AG (RENAC), Berlin, Germany.

Prior to joining GIZ, he has worked with South East Asia Regional Office of World Health Organization, United Nations handling budget & finance for the SEAR member countries. In addition, He is the cluster coordinator for Energy Efficiency Financing working group of GIZ (TUEWAS) internal working for South Asia Region Countries. Nitin Jain is a Chartered Accountant by profession & holds a CA degree since July 1999 from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Noel N. Verdote is currently Lead for the Deployment of Advanced Energy Sources and Systems of the USAID Energy Secure (ESP) Philippines. He is a sustainable energy management/ green energy finance professional who worked with development-oriented organizations on government implemented projects, and with private companies in the Philippines to catalyze and scale up low carbon and green transition investments. Mr. Verdote is a licensed Mechanical Engineer and has postgraduate degrees in Engineering/Energy Technology from the Asian Institute of Technology and MBA from the Melbourne Business School.

.Okju Jeong is a climate change specialist at ADB and serves as a climate change focal point for SG-WUD (climate adaption and mitigation), SG-TRA (climate adaptation), and SG-ENE (climate adaptation), as of June 2024. She supports the effective integration of climate change considerations in the scoping, design, and implementation of ADB operations. She has a cross-sectoral multi-disciplinary background in climte change and sustainable development, with experience spanning across Asia, Africa, and Europe. She holds a doctorate degree in Geography and Regional Planning from the University of Paris-IV-Sorbonne, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s in Geography from Seoul National University.

Olaf de Swart graduated as an Aerospace Engineering MSc. in 2008 on the subject of flexible solar panels. He started working at a large maritime company where he was responsible for lightweight ship design and investigating renewable energy technologies. His passion for solar energy never disappeared. Therefore, he co-founded SolarDuck and is responsible for the APAC market from the Tokyo office since 2019.

Omonullo Nasritdinkhodjaev currently serves as the First Deputy Minister of Mining Industry and Geology of the Republic of Uzbekistan. In this role, he is responsible for implementing the unified state policy for the mining and geology sector.Prior to this position, Mr. Nasritdinkhodjaev held the role of First Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan from February 2021 to March 2023. During his tenure there, he oversaw several key areas including the transformation of state-owned enterprises and banks, development of the mortgage market, development of the insurance market, and tariff regulation and financing in the sectors of energy, transportation, communication, and tourism.Before joining the Ministry of Finance, Mr. Nasritdinkhodjaev worked as a Deputy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, where he was responsible for developing economic sectors and implementing investment and foreign trade policies.Mr. Nasritdinkhodjaev, aged 53, holds several higher education qualifications. He graduated from Tashkent State University in 1994 and obtained a degree from SDA Bocconi School of Management in Italy in 2002. He also completed advanced management courses at Harvard Business School in 2016.

Onon Bayasgalan has worked in the environmental, conservation and energy field for 10 years. She holds a Master's Degree in Environmental Policy from the Yale School of Environment and a Master's in Conservation Leadership from Cambridge University. As the Chief Sustainability Officer at URECA, a climate-tech startup based out of Mongolia and Singapore, Onon is passionate about providing access to energy, climate finance and technologies to improve climate resilience for communities and individual households.

Orestes Anastasia, ICF Director for International Clean Energy and Climate Change and Climate Center Senior Fellow, is an international development expert with more than 25 years of experience developing and leading climate change, clean energy, environmental, and other programs, and partnerships. For more than two decades, he has managed multimillion-dollar programs in more than 25 countries, and from 2004 to 2022, he was based in the Asia and Pacific regions. Orestes served as Chief of Party for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Pacific American Fund and as Head of Thought Leadership leading global climate change and green growth initiatives for the Global Green Growth Institute in Seoul. Orestes also served as a regional climate expert, senior advisor, and team leader at USAID’s Regional Development Mission for Asia. Orestes has technical expertise and experience launching and managing international programs addressing climate change mitigation and adaptation, low-emission development and clean-energy strategies, greenhouse gas management, environmental governance, and other development and environmental challenges.

Pamli brings 16 years of experience in the energy sector across operational, consulting and financing roles. Her passion is to bring a positive change in the society by reducing the impact of climate change while contributing towards poverty reduction. Pamli has helped in building the energy access body of work at the World Resources Institute, India (WRI India) where she with her team supported end users to integrate sustainable energy solutions into their strategy. Prior to that as a part of the New Ventures team, she facilitated investments in social enterprises in India, Nepal and Bangladesh. Having closely followed and covered renewable energy and oil & gas companies as an equity analyst, she also brings in hands on experience in solving some of the business model related challenges for clean tech companies. A chemical engineer from IIT Roorkee and MBA graduate from INSEAD, Pamli has co-authored research papers and many widely read articles on the role of energy in development. At PFAN, Pamli will work with the team in South Asia to strengthen the network of clean energy and adaptation projects, while reaching out to new stakeholders who can support projects in the region.
